The Government of Maharashtra holds the State Common Entrance Test, CET examination. An online examination is conducted for admission to full time, 2 year MBA/MMS degree (or distance education, depending upon the institute)

Every year the exam is held for the aspiring candidates of management, to get admission into different colleges of Maharashtra.

The admission to MBA colleges will be given on the basis of CET score, in the colleges which are affiliated to any of the non-agricultural university of Maharashtra and are approved by the Government of Maharashtra.

MAH- MBA CET Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for general category students is:

  • The candidate must have passed at least a 3-year bachelor’s degree, from a recognised institute/ University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline
  • The candidate must have an aggregate of 50%
  • If the marks are given in CGPA format, then the conversion of marks should be done as per the guidelines/ method given by the university/ institute
  • The percentage should be rounded off with two digits after the decimal point.

 

The eligibility criteria for reserved category is

The candidates belonging to SC, ST, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC SBC and SEBC categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only

  • The candidate must have passed at least a 3-year bachelor’s degree, from a recognised institute/ University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline
  • The candidate must have an aggregate of 45%
  • If the marks are given in CGPA format, then the conversion of marks should be done as per the guidelines/ method given by the university/ institute
  • The percentage should be rounded off with two digits after the decimal point.

 

Important notes:

  • Aggregate marks are the marks that are obtained by the individual, in the bachelor’s degree from which the candidate is passing the examination.
  • The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC SBC and SEBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department, at the time of verification of documents.
  • The candidates belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department, at the time of verification of documents.
  • The candidates belonging to VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC SBC and SEBC categories should produce a valid “Non-Creamy Layer certificate”, at the time of verification of documents.

 


MAH- MBA CET 2022 Registration process

The registration process to apply for MAH-MBA/MMS CET-2022 is:

  • Visit the official website of MAH-MBA/MMS CET-2022(registration is closed)
  • Click on the “New Registration” option.
  • Fill in the details, like name, email id, and phone number, etc., to register.
  • A provisional registration number and password will be generated.
  • The provisional registration number and password will be sent to the registered email id and phone number, for future reference.
  • Enter the provisional registration number and password to complete the form.
  • If the candidate is not able to fill the form in one go, he/she can click the ‘SAVE AND NEXT’ option, so that the details are saved.
  • Upload the photo and signature, the size of which is given in the guidelines.
  • The candidate can edit and modify the details as many times, before clicking the ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ option.
  • After clicking on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’, no further modifications can be done.
  • Proceed to payment.

 

MAH-MBA CET 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus for MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2022 is:

  • Logical reasoning: Logical reasoning is the ability to understand logically and express/select the solution to the given problem, in the least possible time. This section tests how quickly you can understand a particular problem and solve it. A combination of word and pictorial problems would be given in this section.

  6. Direction sense
  7. Input/ Output – tracing sequential output

Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative reasoning is the ability to solve a particular mathematical problem using basic mathematical skills. This section basically tests your ability to apply basic mathematics to the problems related to the discipline.

  3. Data interpretation- charts, graphs, caselets, etc
  4. LCM/HCF
  5. Geometry

  7. Percentages

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

This section tests your ability to comprehend a passage and take out the best solution to it, inappropriate words. The grammar and vocabulary of the candidate would be checked in this case. One should be well versed with a good vocabulary, sentence formation technique, sentence completion, etc. Good command on the English language is needed.

MAH-MBA CET 2022 Marking scheme
  • There are 200 questions in total.
  • Each question carries one mark.
  • The maximum marks are 200.
  • There is no negative marking in this examination.
  • The total time is 150 min.

MAH-MBA CET 2022 Exam pattern

The time allotted for the MAH- MBA/MMS CET-2022 is 150 minutes, or 2 hours 30 minutes. The students will be required to reach the exam hall well before the exam time, as there are many formalities to carry out at the examination centre. The students will not be allowed to use any gadgets or belongings with them. A rough paper and pen will be provided at the examination centre to carry out the calculations.

  • All the questions in MAH- MBA/MMS CET-2022 will be compulsory.
  • There is no negative marking for any question.
  • Students can solve any question at any time, by clicking on the question number.
  • After selecting a particular option, the student must click on ‘Save & Next.
  • Student cannot end the exam before the allotted time, i.e. 150 minutes are over.
  • The student needs to submit the rough paper back to the invigilator after the examination is over.
