Hello Uotians, today, the discussion is all about the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM N or IIM Nagpur). The city known for oranges is now one of the destinations where the IIM league has laid its foundation.
It started under the mentorship of IIM Ahmedabad in the year 2015.
At present, its campus is located within the VNIT Nagpur campus.
It will move to a new campus that spread across 135 acres in Mihan, Nagpur.

IIM Nagpur Admission Process
Exam accepted – CAT
Basically, there are 3 stages of admission. Shortlisting on the basis of CAT Cut Off, then Past Academics and Work Experience and finally a student goes through a Personal Interview and Written Ability Test.

Students will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview on the basis of the Comprehensive Score.
Comprehensive Score (CS) = 0.30 * ( CAT Score) + 0.35 * (PAP Score) + 0.20 * (WE Score) + 0.15 * (DI Score)
Stage 3 – Personal Interview
After the personal interview, the Final Score will be calculated as follows:
Final Score(FS) = (0.40* (PI Score) + 0.15* (CAT Score) + 0.15 * (PAP Score) + 0.15 * (WE Score) + 0.05* (GDI Score))/0.9

Tipani
IIM N is new in the league but the current placement statistics are good considering the IIM tag. It also gets the added advantage of mentorship provided by IIM Ahmedabad which many students consider as a reason to choose IIM N against other new IIMs. The hostel facility is very good.
There are many other options to be considered in comparison to IIM N like IMI Delhi, MICA, TAPMI, etc. providing a similar average salary. The closest competitors like IIM Visakhapatnam and IIM Amritsar are also good options to look out for if you are sure of getting into the Baby IIM league.
