Eligibility Criteria for IIT MBA

IIT Campus Eligibility
SJSOM IIT Bombay

1.  A four year Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in any discipline  with first-class or 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in aggregate (including all years/semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) out of 10 , from the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

2. CA, CS, CFA, ICWA, or FRM, with a first-class Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline having secured 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in aggregate (including all years/semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) out of 10.

* (CA (Chartered Accountancy), CS (Company Secretary), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), ICWA (Cost and Works Accountancy) & FRM (Financial Risk Manager))

3. Those appearing for the final degree examination can also apply. The admission in such cases will be subject to their fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria as stated in (1) or (2) at the time of joining the course.

DMS IIT Delhi
  1. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
  2.  A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.00 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
  3.  A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min. 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e. min. 5.50 on a 10-point scale) for the SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  4.  Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree can also apply.
VGSOM IIT Kharagpur

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA Program of the Institute should have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Science, Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level)* with the following criteria:

    1. A candidate must have any of the following: A Bachelor’s degree of minimum 4-year duration in engineering, technology, pharmacy, medicine, or similar disciplines;

OR

    1. Master’s degree in Science/Economics/Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level); with:
      • GE/NC-OBC: Minimum of 60% marks (or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale)
      • SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale)
      • For both the above cases, if the CGPA is on a different scale than 10.0, the eligibility of the candidates will be calculated corresponding to the equivalence stated above
DOMS IIT Roorkee
  1. Graduates or a professional qualification equivalent to that of University degree recognized by UGC, in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD).
  2. Final year students are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, provided they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree with minimum percentage and CGPA or its equivalent by the specified date. The percentage will be considered based on aggregate marks/CGPA awarded in qualifying degree examinations.
  3. Candidates belonging to the OBC category must submit a photocopy of the category certificate in the prescribed format by Govt. of India issued after 31.03.2021 by a competent authority. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD must submit the requisite certificate from a competent authority on the prescribed format by Govt. of India at the time of the Interview.
IME IIT Kanpur
  1. B. Tech. or B.E. or B. Arch. (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class XII), or four year degree program leading to B. Sc. Engineering (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or four year degree program leading to Bachelor of Science degree (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or Master of Science (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or Master of Arts in Economics (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program) with aggregate of 65% or a CPI of 6.5 on a scale of 10 from any AICTE recognized institute/university, IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
DOMS IIT ISM Dhanbad – MBA Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or having 60% marks or CGPA of 6.0 out of 10(55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 for SC/ST/PWD (Differently Abled Categories]) in their degree from a recognized University with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects in Bachelors Degree.
DOMS IIT ISM Dhanbad – MBA Business Analytics Candidates with B.Tech degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA (55% marks in aggregate or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST
and PwD[Differently Abled Categories]) will be eligible for the program
DOMS IIT Madras
  1. Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD) earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University.
  2. Final year students (of the above mentioned program) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program and will produce provisional certificate of completion within two months of joining the program.
  3. IIT Graduates who have obtained a CGPA of 8 and above on 10 are exempted from CAT score.
SME IIT Jodhpur
  1. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.00 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree. A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. minimum of 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e. min. 5.50 on a 10-point scale) for the SC/ST/PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates.
