IIM Guwahati MBA
We recently heard about NITIE Mumbai, an institute well known for Operations Managements in India, was renamed to IIM Mumbai. It became the 21st IIM in India. Now, central government has given approval for the establishment of 22nd IIM at Marabhita near Guwahati. This is an excellent new for MBA aspirants considering the increasing number of CAT applications each year.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned IIM Ahmedabad to play the role of mentor. It has previously done this for IIM Nagpur as well.
The 574 bigha of land for the new institute would be given away free of charge by the state government. The following table has information of all the 21 IIMs in India and programs provided by them.
