Marketing is key to any business across all sectors. If we go back in history then we find the existence of marketing at the beginning of civilization. From distribution flyers in the pre-internet era to just calling out the customer in your local surrounding to try your product. Marketing management is a process of strategies and planning for product or service, advertising, promotion, sales in order to reach potential customers.

 

Example – One classic example of marketing was the launch of the iPod in 2001, the time during which people used to listen to music using cassettes and CDs. The marketing of the iPod was done with a simple sentence “1000 songs in your pocket”. It was simple yet effective, being portable was the USP of iPod. It was highlighted with such ease that it caught the eye of all and made it one of the best selling product of Apple and revolutionised the way we listen to music today
