Institute Level Seats in MBA/MMS Admission 2021

What is Institute Level Seat(ILS)?

Out of the total seats with any MBA institute, some seats are reserved for Institute Level Seats. Any candidate can apply for them and secure admission on merit basis. MBA institutes taking admission for ILS seats will have their own process.

Some institutes will ask candidates to fill a form(paid or unpaid) while some institutes may carry out some different process (GD-PI). According to DTE, ILS seats should be filled on the basis of merit.

Every candidate has a fair chance to secure his admission in top MBA institute through ILS seats so it’s my advice to stay connected with websites of different MBA institute so that they can take benefit of ILS seats.

No, all the MBA/MMS institutes will not have institute level seats. The maximum of 15% of total seats is allotted to ILS quota.

CET CELL will release the seat matrix that will have information about seat distribution. This will reflect whether that institute has ILS quota or not.

What is the cut-off for ILS?

It cannot be determined accurately but you can consider it to be close to General category cut-off.

Which exams are accepted for ILS?

We will have this clarity after CET CELL releases the seat matrix.

How to stay updated with ILS notification?

Keep visiting the institute website and check the latest update. You can even call up the institute to know the detailed procedure.

Note:

  • It is necessary to go through the Online Registration Process in order to apply for ILS.
