What is Pharma MBA?
Pharma MBA is a full-time course that focuses on preparing students for entering the pharmaceutical industry. It provides entry into domains like Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Consultancy, Market Research, IT & Healthcare, Medical Communication, Diagnostics, Nutraceuticals, etc.
Why MBA in Pharmaceutical Management?

What is the MBA Pharmaceutical Management Admission Process?
The students interested in Pharma MBA can target significant entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, SNAP, NMAT, CET, etc. Most of the Pharma MBA colleges will have 2 stage admission process that involves shortlisting students on the basis of entrance exams in the first stage.
In the second round, the shortlisted students go through Group Discussion(GD)/Written Ability Test(WAT) and Personal Interview(PI).
The MBA/MMS institutes in Maharashtra provide admission on the basis of entrance exam only i.e. MBA CET. None of these institutes host pharma MBA course but still have recruiters from the Pharma domain visiting the campus. Examples are Himalaya, GSK, Zydus, Macleods, Kantar Health, Wockhardt, etc.
MBA in Pharmaceutical Management Eligibility Criteria
Most of the students targeting pharma MBA have a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biology, Chemistry and other Life Sciences. Is this a trend or compulsion? The answer is, No. Students from any graduation background can opt for a pharma MBA.
A minimum of 50% aggregate in the bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute. 45% for reserved category students.
MBA Pharmaceutical Management Syllabus

Skill Set required for Pharma MBA
There is no such requirement of a particular skill set. The students from pharmaceutical graduation will have an edge for their technical know-how of the domain. The same logic applies for a mechanical engineer opting for Operations MBA or a computer science engineer opting for IT Systems MBA etc.
