MBA CET 2025 ADMISSION PROCESS
The admission process starts in the month of June. It comprises of following steps:
- Online registration
- Provisional and Final Merit list
- Display of Institute Seat Matrix
- Submission of College option form
- CAP Rounds
- Reporting to the institute for admission
- Non-CAP Admissions
MBA CET 2025 CAP ROUNDS
Scoring good marks in the CET exam is the first half of the complete process, the second half i.e. CAP rounds are more crucial. One needs to play CAP rounds with a proper strategy without which ending up in the wrong institute on a given percentile is obvious. The terms like Facilitation Center, Admission Reporting Center, Freeze Not-Freeze, etc. comes into the picture. The document verification in the first stage is done at FC – Facilitation Center. The candidate is required to complete the Online registration then visit FC with the required documents and get it verified. This ensures that the candidate is eligible for CAP Rounds. A provisional merit list will be displayed after FC work is done, it will give a fair idea on which college a candidate is likely to get in CAP rounds. The provisional merit list consists of All India Merit number, State General Merit number(for Maharashtra Candidates), etc. A final merit list is displayed after the provisional merit list. This is followed by the release of Vacant seat matrix and Option form filling for CAP Round 1. The following article will give you a complete idea about CAP Rounds.
MBA CET SEAT MATRIX
The total seats in any MBA/MMS Institute are divided into different Quota
- 85% seats are reserved for Maharashtra Candidates
- 15% seats for candidates applying from Outside Maharashtra State
85% of seats are further divided as per State level seats, HU/OHU seats and Institute level Seats(ILS). Then the further division is according to Categories. General, OBC, SC, SEBC, ST, VJ-NT, PWD etc. and finally the addition of EWS quota that started from 2019 admission process. Minority quota is present in institutes like KJ Somaiya, SIES, NL Dalmia, Xavier etc. 50% of the total seats are reserved for minority candidates. The rest seats are treated as open to all category students without having Category bifurcation.
Seat matrix is different for Minority colleges. One must check the seat matrix of all the top MBA/MMS colleges in order to understand the number of seats, seat distribution which will indirectly help to track competition.
MBA CET INSTITUTE LEVEL SEATS
When you look at the seat matrix of MBA/MMS Colleges, you will find some of the colleges having Institute level Seats(ILS). The admission to ILS is done at Institute Level and it has nothing to do with MBA CAP Rounds. There is a particular set of rules specified by the DTE to conduct ILS admissions. Remember it is not Management Quota, it’s the right of candidates to get fairly treated for ILS quota strictly according to Merit scores.
MBA CET 2025 Sample Question Paper
VERBAL ABILITY/READING COMPREHENSION Directions: The passage below is followed by questions based on its contents. Read the passage, and choose the best answer on the basis of the passage content, stated or implied. Passage Adversity like that faced by the Swiss watchmakers has the virtue of starkly limiting the alternatives. A company that decides to expand by acquisition has the wide world of commerce before it, subject only to availability and price. The plethora of choices is one explanation of the many poor selections. The best decisions follow when the purpose is most clearly defined. At least the decision-maker then knows exactly what he is trying to achieve and why. The Swiss were trying to achieve survival – an aim so ‘transcendent’ that the “why” needn’t be asked. The only important question was “How,” and the only answer (which their Japanese rivals have always chosen as the most rewarding approach) is to probe for the weakness of the opposition, and then to kick the Achilles heel with steel-tipped boots. In this instance, the weakness (to which Japanese business is strangely prone) was lack of modern fashion sense. The electronic timepieces were being sold as wrist machinery; that gave Swiss Company its opportunity. In the context of the passage which of the following is closest in meaning to the word “plethora” as given in bold.
- Paucity
- Nature
- Quality
- Excess
- Other than those given as options
Which of the following holds good in the case of Swiss or Japanese watchmaking companies?
-
- Japanese watchmaking companies had a rewarding experience in regard to wrist watches because of their modern fashion
- In the past, Swiss watch companies were always probing for the weakness of their rival Japanese companies to succeed in
- The Japanese watch companies were having a tough time from their strong Swiss
- The solution to the problem of Swiss Companies was in the weakness of Japanese companies lacking in modern fashion for wrist
- Other than those given as options
Directions: In the questions given below, either a part or the entire sentence is printed in bold. The sentence is followed by five ways of writing the bold part. If you think that any other answer choice is the best, select that as your answer and indicate it on your answer sheet properly.
