Department of Business Economics, Delhi University, was established in 1973. It provided Masters Program in Business Economics earlier, it became MBA Business Economics from 2015. It is one of the Top 10 MBA Colleges in India with Highest ROI(Return on Investment). It also provides Ph. D. program.

DBE DU MBA Admission Process
Basic Eligibility – Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from University recognized as an equivalent, with at
least 50% marks in aggregate. 12th class must include Maths/Business Maths. Reservation of seats as per the University rules. Candidate appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree in 2023 can also apply.

Stage 1 – Shortlisting for Personal Interview
- Overall and Sectional cutoffs in CAT percentile results would be applied for short-listing General Category candidates for PI.
- Short-listing will be done on the basis of candidates’ CAT percentile and marks scored in Class X and Class XII Examinations.
- Female candidates will be given some extra weightage.
- Candidates with the following undergraduate degrees will receive extra weightage:
- B. Com. (Hons.),
- B. A./B.Sc. (Hons.) (Economics),
- B. A. (Hons.) (Business Economics),
- BBS/BMS and
- BFIA/BBA(FIA).
The following weightage system will be followed for short-listing for PI:

The shortlisted candidates shall be called for a Personal Interview (PI). In case, PI at the University Campus is not possible owing to unavoidable circumstances, then PI would stand cancelled. In that case, the Final Merit List for admission to the MBA(F) and MBA(BE) programs would be prepared on the basis of the weightage for final selection (below), wherein the weightage of PI would be taken as zero for all candidates. Further, the sectional cutoff will be applied only to the Unreserved category.
Stage 2 – Final Selection
Final selection will be based on CAT Scores, Marks scored in Personal Interview, Marks Scored in Class 10 and Class 12 and Weightage to Graduate Degrees (mentioned above) and to female candidates.
